ELYSIAN GARDEN BED & BREAKFAST

ELYSIAN Garden Bed and Breakfast approached SBC to recreate their brand and capture a one-of-a-kind experience that would make visitors feel a sense of nostalgia and comfort. We drew the color inspiration from the owners custom antique quilt art that hangs in the entry way of the foyer. We brought their personality into the brand as well as new elements, using more modern design applications.

BOWTIE CAKES AND CAFE

After spending years travelling the world as pastry chefs, Christopher Bristol and wife Caroline Bristol decided it was time to open their own bakery in their hometown of Seattle, Washington. Bowtie wanted a brand that would not only showcase their values, their love for pastry, and their passion for this shared love, but also demonstrate their unique approach to creating pastry.

Caroline and Christopher approached SBC to create a one-of-a-kind experience that would differentiate them for other bakeries and essentially establish a brand that would be memorable. We drew the color inspiration for Bowtie Cakes from the owners’ carefree and laidback personality plus their love of the ocean. We wanted to create a brand that consumers would easily relate to, one that expressed a carefree spirit.

BLEU TAPAS BAR AND LOUNGE

An avid entrepreneur wanted to build a bar and lounge in the food and beverage industry in Detroit. He approached Studio Brand Collective (SBC) to build a brand for a new tapas bar and lounge in the downtown area. The creative process of SBC was obvious in the development of BLEU’s brand. SBC conducted quantitative and qualitative market research before beginning the strategy portion of the brand. From there, we drafted several names for the bar and lounge, and unanimously chose BLEU. The chosen name set the parameters for the unique brand design and voice.

The interiors are different shades of blue for a calming, relaxing experience, along with exclusive foods served alongside different types of cocktails makes this a bar anyone the ages between 21 and 30 would want to come to. This helped set BLEU apart from the competition. The location of BLEU was also a strategic decision because we want to focus on early to late 20s.

The doors to BLEU opened in November 2013, just in time for studying for celebrating the holidays and New Year. BLEU continued to build buzz and remains one of the top nightlife destinations in Detroit.

BOSH BAR AND BISTRO

When the client reached out to SBC to brand a new American bistro, we knew we had our work cut out for us.  The owner wanted this to be the place in San Antonio where people of all ages can go and enjoy lunch or dinner for any occasion. Strategically located in the Midtown/Brackenridge Park area of San Antonio, Bosh Bistro hoped to achieve the owner’s goal.

The brand design began with the name Bosh Bistro. The founder and owner’s last name is Bosh, and we thought giving the bistro a family name and starting out in this community full of different types of people, income, etc. would give the restaurant a personal touch, which a lot of eating establishments lack. The farm-to-market technique the owner wanted to use also added to Bosh’s identity. SBC started to draft logos to incorporate the vision of a local, chic restaurant worthy of attention. Bosh is more upscale than a burger joint, but doesn’t require formal dress either. Once the logo was chosen, it was incorporated on menus, business cards, uniforms, other materials, the web site and social media sites.

The grand opening event was private and exclusive. Many San Antonio politicians, basketball players and local celebrities were in attendance. After the opening, SBC launched an ad campaign, which included print, radio and television advertisements. Bosh Bistro hasn’t been opened for very long, but the kitchen is busy, and they have a growing base of patrons. The owner is deciding on another location in San Antonio.

PORTFOLIO COMING SOON

SEBASTIEN'S SEAFOOD HOUSE

When we were invited to bid on a new restaurant project by a chef who wanted to open his own seafood restaurant in Austin, we jumped at the opportunity. Relatively new to the industry, the chef wanted to make a haven for all seafood lovers in Austin who were tired of chain restaurants.

Austin isn’t known for its seafood market, so we had to build this restaurant as the go to destination for all seafood lovers in the Austin area. Once the chef made it clear he would only be buying fresh seafood from coastal city vendors, we knew we could separate his restaurant from others.

We took the chef’s name, and designed a clean, fresh logo that reflects the nobility of his name. The identity of this restaurant is upscale dining, but family friendly.  We wanted to stay away from the cliché cartoon version of any type of ocean related logos because we wanted to keep the brand sophisticated.

The restaurant is not currently open, but SBC is in full force with the marketing and advertising campaign for the grand opening event and the final touches on the brand.

DAVIS STREET RESTAURANT & CATERING

Located inside the Mosaic hi-rises on the edge of historic Hermann Park, Davis Street at Hermann Park brings reimagined flavors to American comfort food favorites. From the bright green chandeliers to the open kitchen, the restaurant's sleek décor is striking. The concept for this high-end restaurant was over-the-top glamour and indulgence. So when Davis Street approached SBC, they wanted to build a brand tat would reflect these characteristics and evolve over time to include more market presence.

SBC had to create a brand that was bold, unique and provided guests with an elevated dining experience. To develop this brand, SBC worked on all aspects of its marketing including digital marketing, press/media, events, branding, and ongoing marketing campaigns. To complete the experience, Davis Street also introduced its catering division focused on providing catering options for corporate sponsors, sports teams, athletes, and local celebrities. SBC was tasked with creating a brand for this business extension as well as marketing these service offerings.
