Bud’s Pitmaster BBQ came to Studio Brand with a unique challenge. The new restaurant concept was leasing a high-profile location in Houston’s Avenidas District adjacent to the downtown convention center. Per terms of their lease, they had to be ready to open in a matter of months in time for the city’s hosting of Super Bowl LI. Could we complete a full branding package and marketing strategy in time?

SB worked around the clock to make the brand launch a success and feed hungry football fans who flocked to the Avenidas District for Super Bowl events.

When Bud’s BBQ approached Studio Brand, they were a newly formed business with no brand and an upcoming restaurant launch. Bud’s BBQ is an authentic Texas-style BBQ restaurant located in Houston, TX. Other than serving up tasty BBQ, they also cater a variety of events and created a line of drool-worthy BBQ condiments. Studio Brand started with the look – they had three unique parts of their business – a restaurant, a BBQ sauce retail line, and a catering service. Since the restaurant focused on serving Texas-style BBQ, we knew the brand had to incorporate a Texas flair.

We created a logo that represented the dynamics of the brand, a responsive website that brought their brand to life with mouth-watering imagery and a unique Texas-inspired style. We wanted the brand’s logo to represent the Texas roots of Bud’s BBQ. As Bud’s BBQ approached their grand opening, they needed a solid plan to build an online presence and promote their new business. Understanding the importance of digital marketing, Bud’s wanted to utilize multiple digital channels to hype up their grand opening, and drive attendance to their restaurant and events, but they didn’t know where to start.
